Middle School Scientists Shine at State PJAS Competition
We are proud to recognize our outstanding team of middle school students who excelled at the recent Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science (PJAS) state competition, held at Penn State University.
Congratulations to our first-place winners:
- Colin Bozick (Mellon) – Behavioral Science: The Effect of Colored Noises on Tests
- Liam Furey (Mellon) – Botany: The Effects of Regenerative Agriculture on Plant Growth
- Eli Lasus (Mellon) – Microbiology: The Effects of Herbal Rinses on Bad Breath
- Aliana Raff (JMS) – Microbiology: The Effect of Carbohydrates on Saccharomyces cerevisiae
And to our second-place winners:
- Sanvi Banka (Mellon) – Behavioral Science: "Where’s Waldo?"
- Alex Petrie (Mellon) – Behavioral Science: The Impact of Anxiety on Test Performance
